What happens when you leave World War II vehicles in the Philippines

Did you know? that in the Philippines one of the Major local transportation are called Jeepneys (Jeeps),

So the Philippine - American War is over, and you are a mechanic, there is a bunch of people you know including yourself that has the need for a transport that both has good enough horse power (something stronger that a real horse) and load capacity then you all see a good number of these old pretty study war tainted work horse vehicles, what do you do next? Start tinkering to make it bigger. So this is basically how the Philippine Jeeps started.

You may be thinking Jeep? Yes the car brand jeep, Filipinos did their own chop shop version on it and used it to carry almost everything, from farm produce to gravel & sand and nowadays as public transport.

During the 70s to the 90s the Jeeps reigned as Kings of the Road.

It was found that these jeeps were so sturdy and can take a lot of abuse this is why it quickly became one of the main ways to travel.
